Packing Tips – Another Attic provides all your necessary packing supplies.

1 – Plan ahead.  Get plenty of supplies, including boxes, tape, bubble wrap, pens, etc.
2 – Wrap fragile items with bubble wrap and cushion inside boxes to prevent breakage.
3 – Do not overload boxes.
4 – Evenly distribute the weight inside the box to prevent tipping with stacking.
5 – Seal boxes tightly with tape to help prevent dust from entering.
6 – Prevent scratches to wood or metal by wrapping in bubble wrap and/or slip covers.
7 – Label boxes on all sides for easy identification.
8 – Place lighter and more fragile items on top and heavier boxes on bottom.
9 – Pack heavier items in smaller boxes.
10 – Pack boxes tightly to prevent the boxes from breaking down and collapsing.

Storage Tips – Our friendly office staff can help answer any questions.

1 – Always use a superior quality lock.
2 – Rent only the space you need and pack it efficiently.
3 – Items which may need to be accessed often should be placed near the front.
4 – To access all stored items easily create an aisle in the center of the unit.
5 – Use boxes of the same size for easy stacking.
6 – Stack lighter boxes on top.
7 – Store sofas and love-seats on one end (not recommended for sleeper sofas).
8 – Remove legs from tables and dismantle furniture if possible.
9 – Use the drawers of stored furniture to pack pictures, china/dishes or knick-knacks.
10 – Use trash cans to store shovels, hoes and rakes.
